Breannon Babbel, PhD, MPH, MPP is a Denver-based health equity researcher and consultant with over 13 years of experience in public health. Through her work, Dr. Babbel has developed a comprehensive expertise in public health programming, research, and grants management, with much of her work devoted to serving Tribal nations. Recently, she led a diverse team of over 3,000 employees on one of the largest public health/workforce development responses in U.S. history. Prior to that she served as a Senior Public Health Program Manager at the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) where she managed multiple tribal public health programs and oversaw all aspects of NIHB’s public health-related research including data collection, analysis, assessment, and evaluation. Dr. Babbel completed her PhD in Glasgow, Scotland where her research explored the role of primary care in addressing health disparities in Scotland’s most socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. In her free time, Breannon enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing with her family in the many mountains near Denver.
