World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEADD) 2023

On June 15, NAEJI celebrated World Elder Abuse Awareness Day by joining The Administration on Aging/ Administration for Community Living (AoA/ACL) Title VI Thursday chats to present on elder abuse and promote WEAAD awareness activities. The chat was filled with great conversation on the importance of discussing elder abuse and resources to address it in Indian Country. Every year on June 15, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the mistreatment of elders and raise awareness about the various types of elder abuse.
