The April Brain Health Resource Center In Action

Over the month of April, the IA team was busy. The IAteam was able to travel this month for many exciting events to learn and share more about brain health, wandering, and elder justice among other topics, with American Indian and Alaska Native elders. IA attended the 2023 Nevada Tribal Summit on Brain Health with the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and Dementia Friendly Nevada. IA also attended the National Title VI Training and Technical Assistance Conference in Washington, DC. We now have many of our brain health resources available on our website for print and download!

— NEWLY AVAILABLE on the IA2 website “American Indian, Alaska Native, & Culturally Inclusive Language in ADRD State Plans” which explores excerpts from various state plans regarding American Indians, Alaska Natives, and other communities. Read more about the available resource below.

 — Now Available on the IA2  website “Tribal Resolution Toolkit” to address Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) in tribal communities. Read more about the package of materials available below.

— Check out the toolkit “Tribal Outreach Toolkit for Title VI MIPPA Grantees” including items like the “American Indians and Alaska Natives: Key Demographics and Characteristics” – all available on the National Council on Aging’s website!
