IA2 Respite Care Grants & Virtual Support Group Projects Receives Shoutout on Local News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Executive Director of the National Indian Council on Aging and IA² brain health advisory group member, Larry Curley spoke about the issues of social isolation and loneliness among the older population on local news affiliate KRQE. He gave a shoutout to IA² and promoted a current CDC Foundation-funded initiative to provide respite care support grants and virtual support groups for caregivers of people living with memory issues. NICOA is advocating for improved health, social services, and economic well-being for American Indian and Alaska Native elders as COVID-19 has ravaged the American Indian population.
