The International Association for Indigenous Aging (IA2) released a set of audio public service announcements (PSAs) available for use by anyone working with American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) tribes or for tribes or tribal health providers use.
The set includes: 4 English language PSAs, 2 in Navajo and 2 in Lakota of varying lengths (:30 and :6) with accompanying scripts for each set of PSAs.
The PSAs are designed to complement a larger toolkit released earlier this year by IA2 that included a resource manual that discussed outreach to AIANs with profiles of the largest tribes, a brochure, two PowerPoints about Medicare, 4 drop-in articles about Medicare and Medicare fraud, and series of 6 fact sheets focused on Medicare as well as Medicare fraud and abuse.
The key theme for the materials is “Medicare Matters.”
The materials were created with funding from the U.S. Administration for Community Living for the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) program. The original target audience was the SMP program, but many other organizations and tribal entities have found the resources of use.

The PSA files and other resources are available for download and are free of charge. Visit our website to access materials.
