Sherry Sanchez Tibbetts

Sherry Sanchez Tibbetts is a strategic thinker, a changemaker, and a DEI champion with a strong commitment to ensuring that systems work well for everyone.
Currently, Sherry drives strategy and next-level ideation for advancing partnerships with diverse communities and Native Nations across the upper Midwest as Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion for the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Her experience with dementia came when her grandmother developed the disease before she passed away. Of Comanche descent, Sherry developed and co-leads the Association’s national workgroup on Indian Country.
She has a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, a JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and is certified in nonprofit accounting. Before joining, Sherry was a consultant and collaborated with nonprofits, government agencies, and tribal organizations on inclusive strategy design and data use, fund development, and change management. She is passionate about taking on challenges that matter – especially those that support community-centered solutions.
