NDSU Extension and SDSU Extension will host a free virtual Caregiver Learning Workshop about Medicare options for family caregivers on March 16, 2023, starting at 12:00 p.m. CST (11:00 a.m. MT).
Family caregivers face many challenges and often do not know where to turn for help. To help connect family caregivers with the information and services they need, NDSU Extension and SDSU Extension collaborate to offers Caregiver Learning Workshops. This series includes three workshops offered in January, February and March. These workshops are hosted via Zoom over the lunch hour, so that working caregivers might have a better opportunity to participate. In addition to individual participants, efforts will be made to recruit individuals and organizations to host watch parties so that individuals without access to the internet can watch the workshops.

WORKSHOP SUMMARY
This presentation will increase family caregiver knowledge about Medicare. They will learn how to enroll in Medicare, how to make changes to their plan, and about programs available to cover costs associated with Medicare. Attendees will learn the answers to common questions that family caregivers have about Medicare. By the end of the presentation, attendees will have greater knowledge about the resources available to help them understand and sign up for Medicare benefits.
