The Healthy People 2030 (HP2030) federal initiative encourages communities to “build a healthier future for all” by measuring progress toward optimal health, longevity, and quality of life across all stages of life. Three dementia objectives are included: (1) improve disclosure of a dementia diagnosis, (2) reduce preventable hospitalizations among persons with dementia, and (3) increase discussion in medical settings about changes in cognitive health.
Join the Alzheimer’s Association on Wednesday, November 3 from 1:30-2:00 p.m. ET for Data Drives Decisions: Healthy People 2030 and Dementia to learn how public health officials can use the HP2030 framework to improve health and well-being among those living with dementia.
During this 30-minute, “coffee break” webinar, participants will:
- Hear about the three dementia objectives and current national baseline estimates
- Discover how the dementia objectives can promote health equity
- Learn how one state has incorporated these objectives into larger strategic plans
Be sure to register in advance and share this webinar announcement with any interested colleagues.
