As most of you know, in April 2018, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe joined the Dementia Friendly Nevada initiative and formed the Pesa Sooname Advisory Group. In 2019, the group hosted the inaugural Nevada Tribal Summit on Brain Health and Dementia. 114 People representing 14 tribes gathered in Nixon for a full day of conversation about brain health and dementia within a Native context. Participants (including many of you!) resoundingly asked for the Summit to be hosted on an annual basis, and now that it is safe to hold large gatherings again, we are excited to announce the 2023 Nevada Tribal Summit on Brain Health and Dementia!
All Nevada Tribes, Tribes from neighboring states,and members of Dementia Friendly Nevada are welcome!
